Hi, my name is Yoanney and I am a percussion teacher from Cuba. I have been a student of music for 9 years and I have had my degree in percussion. My musical influences include Cuban music and I also enjoy learning new types of music. My teaching style can best be described as a variation of audio and visual learning to make sure that all types of learners can grasp the curriculum. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I feel like should taught at a moderate pace so all can truly learn and play from the heart. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to play all the percussion instruments in different genre styles. I like to tell my students that practice make perfect. With more practice that can achieve all goals. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the development of my students from beginning to the end of the course. My favorite performance was. My students love that I dedicate my time to them where they feel like individuals and not a group. I primarily teach percussion, but I can also teach keyboard and how to solfege.
