Hi, my name is Chris and I am from Burnsville. I have been a student of music for 16 years. I am self-taught on guitar 7 years, traditionally trained on Alto Saxophone 3 years and Clarinet 2 years, took two years of music production classes in a professional studio and currently play in a band as a guitarist/vocalist. My musical influences include Paul McCartney, Daft Punk, and I also enjoy Radiohead. My teaching style can best be described as tailored for the individual. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe music is highly personal, and should revolve around the student. In my lessons, you can expect to learn to read sheet music, how to play scales, classic melodies twinkle, twinkle little star. I like to tell my students that music is about having fun, expressing yourself and learning at a pace that makes it all come together. My favorite thing about teaching is watching the student begin to grasp new ideas and break barriers. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach piano. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
