About Me
Hi! My name is Mallie, and I am a female guitar player from Midlothian. I have been playing since I was about 11 or 12, and it is my passion. My dad actually taught me how to play chords and some songs and I picked up the rest on my own. My dad is a huge guitar nerd and is my biggest supporter and influence in guitar. I hope one day I can be as knowledgeable and talented as he is, so I am always trying to expand my abillities on the guitar. I consider myself a student and a teacher because even though I have the abillity to help others start their guitar journey, I am always trying to challenge myself with new techniques and sounds so that one day I can hopefully teach someone else how to do it. I hope to spark that same joy in someone else about the guitar that my dad sparked in me.
Mallie S. has over 6 years of music experience in the Midlothian area.

Formal Education:
I was never formally trained playing guitar, but violin. I played violin for 5 years through elementary and middle school where I learned all about reading music, notes, and how to work with others to create a symphony of sound. Although I don’t play anymore, I am thankful that I got the experience that I did to classical music and the orchestra because it taught me some very fundamental things about music that an informal teaching never could have shown me.
