Jamila began playing piano at the age of 3. Over the years, she developed her skills further by learning the flute and guitar. She gained performance experience in the Huntsville,AL and Atlanta,GA area by playing at such venues as The Masquerade, and churches.
Though Jamila can teach many genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical and R&B which had great influence on her style of playing. Jamila loves music because it is a joy that transcends space and time, and loves teaching music because she wants to share that joy with others.
