Though Victoria can teach multiple genres of music, her musical personal favorites are choral which had great influence on her style of learning. Victoria loves music because it has always been a part of her life and has helped her through everything life has thrown at her and loves teaching music because she can share her love with music through those she comes across. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Depending on their experience level, each lesson will begin with warming up with scales and other vocal exercises to prepare the vocal chords. Then, based on the students comfort with the genre, piece and the overall knowledge of music, we can move on to learning pieces of music or continue with learning scales and other basic music theory information to help the process of reading music easier as well as obtaining a better understanding of performing correctly and safely.
Formal Education:
I was a student at Northeastern Junior College and received my Associate of Arts. I began as a music major but later switched majors to psychology. I am currently going to the University of Northern Colorado to get my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in music
Private Education:
I took a private piano/vocal course my freshman year at Northeastern Junior college.
Performing Experience:
I have been performing on stage since the 4th grade and I have been in choir since then as well.
Experience Teaching:
I was a teachers aid in my high school Choir class for 1 year helping my choral director teach those who did not understand completely. I then began helping those in my college choir corses when they were unable to read or understand the music.

We had two lessons with Victoria. She was 30 minutes late each time. The first time, she called and said the line at Starbucks was too long. The next time, she just forgot that we were meeting at 10:30 am and thought it was 11:00. The third time, after a half an hour late, I called her to see where she was, and she confusedly said she was in her room. She just forgot we had a lesson. This is beyond unprofessional. What a disappointment. the lessons were ok once she finally showed up....she kept showing my daughter music as if she was supposed to read and sing along at 6 years old. Victoria seems to forget that 6 year olds are beginning readers, much less proficient enough to read AND sing AND do all of that on time with the music. I was hoping Victoria was going to pick a song or two and teach them to her, not just ask me what songs Violet likes and then have a sing along. Jackie Armstrong wrote on Mon, 02 Nov 2020
