Hello! My name is Taleisha. I began playing piano at the age of seven, and I have been fascinated with the instrument ever since! I began to study Jazz during my days at Brewer Highschool on the Northwest side of Fort Worth where I was taught under percussionist Keith Duke. Jazz has become my passion, and my main focus, I am currently studying it in college. Though Jazz is my main focus, I do have experience with other genres which are listed on my profile. Teaching is my passion, I am currently working on my Bachelor of Arts in Music Media, at Tarrant County College, and The University of Texas at Arlington. I am aiming towards becoming a professor of Music Industry studies. I love to teach just as much as I love to study music, and I hope to see you soon!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
Always have a pencil, and a notebook for notes! Other materials will be discussed during lesson one.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
My introductory lesson consists of me getting to know my students, and setting up our first goal. I want to know why you are doing this? What are your goals? And where you might see yourself going with your keyboard playing. It is my duty to get you there, and the more I know the better. I structure each lesson based on each individual students specific needs, and the way I determine that is through lesson one. Be ready to talk about yourself and your musical goals on day one!
Formal Education:
I began private lessons at the age of 14.

I have been taught under Richard Stitzel Head of the Jazz Studies department at TCC South for 2 years now.
