Gordon has always loved music from an early age. His Mom was his first piano teacher and he began playing at the age of 6. He continued his education by playing trumpet in 5th grade. His musical influences include band and orchestra directors as well as high quality private teachers from high school on. Gordon's favorite thing about music is the opportunity it brings to be expressive and creative. His favorite thing about teaching music is to inspire from school age to adult students to create something beautiful and pass their own experience to others. One of his favorite teaching experiences was to watch a timid trumpet student change into a confident and talented music major in college. When taking lessons with Gordon you can expect lots of positive encouragement from a seasoned musician who has personally benefited from the power of music performance.
