Jonathon H.

Jonathon began playing Trumpet at the age of 6. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing in the school band attending camps and district bands. After grade school Jonathon continued on to VCU to study classical guitar performance. He gained performance experience in the Richmond and D.C. area by playing at such venues as The African American History Museum in D.C., Browns Island Festivals, and Privet Parties for corporate and privet events and at smaller venues such as Gallery 5, and Hardywood with acts such as his Jazz band the Sweet Potatoes as well as being a hired to sit in with different rock, jazz, and classical groups. Though Jonathon can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Julian Lage, Wes Montgomery, and Ted greene which had great influence on his style of playing. Jonathon loves music because its brought me a lot of friends and opportunities and loves teaching music because it gives me a chance to pass on my passion.
