Hi, my name is Jose and I am from Mexico. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My musical influences include Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, The Beatles, Chico Buarque, Lenine and I also enjoy learning new musical styles. My teaching style can best be described as a discovery learning, where we will learn and get to know your musical self. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I´m just a mentor for you, the hard work will come from the time and the effort you put in your daily life. In my lessons, you can expect to learn several music styles, but most of all I will focus in your main goals and interests. I like to tell my students that I believe that everybody need to find their own voice and that is the path that we will step into. My favorite thing about teaching is constructing a whole new world with each student. My students love that I will help you to get something since the first class. I primarily teach Latin American styles and fingerpicking, but I can also teach flatpicking and rock style.
