Hi, my name is Emily and I am a violist and violinist from Irving. I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences include Bach, and I also enjoy composing orchestral versions of contemporary works. I create a list of long and short term goals for each student, and write custom curriculum for each musician that I instruct. I believe in giving each student repertoire that they enjoy, custom selected to tackle specific technical issues. In my lessons, you can expect to learn great position, clear tone and strong intonation. My end goal is to teach each student to be their own teacher. This includes rhythmic and tonal independence. My favorite thing about teaching is the satisfaction of seeing my students improve gradually. My students love that I am understanding and kind.
