Pablo has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 8 and continued his education by playing at church while joining the band in school. His musical influences include his father and grandfather .Pablo's favorite thing about music is that there is no perfect way to play and his favorite thing about teaching music, is knowing the student can embrace their feelings while learning how to be creative with their art. One of his favorite teaching experiences was In Italy. He went out of country to do mission work and while staying a group of kids learned that no matter how life treats you, there will always be a that drive to control how things turn out with music. When taking lessons with Pablo you can expect a pace set specifically to the student, wants in music by the student to be learned properly, and an open mind. “You never stop learning, even when it’s from your own students.” He looks forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style. - Intermediate
My student will be expected to play because they want to play. Learning such an incredible instrument can easily be distracting so discipline is key. They will be loads of fun and so many smiles taming grooves and understating how they fit. My students should also expect to see me as someone they can talk to normally. If there is a question, ask. You can’t learn if you ignore the question.
Formal Education:
Self taught from 8 years old until I had the option for band in jr high. Started to learn drums and trumpet. Learned music theory, ear training, along with performing onstage and on the field.
Private Education:
Attended a few online lessons with various musicians. Importance or solid grooves and techniques.
Performing Experience:
Performed at 11 different churches. Was placed in a band at worship university and in a week we played at a park for the whole city to get together. Flew to Italy for mission work and did a few sets for the worship team.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching my family along with a few others from my church from time to time. Some of which have been able to play in the worship team.
