Students will learn how to visualize music in the scope of a Digital Audio Workstation DAW. They will learn how to shape sounds with audio effects such as EQ's, compressors, filters, delay, reverb, panning, and more, and how to organize their tracks to create a final mix. Students will be capable of recording their own music using the resources they have.

Students will learn how to turn their emotional energy into musical energy, and vice versa. Words, connotations, rhythm, tone, rhyme, and poetry will be the building blocks of learning to write lyrics which will later be matched with musical ideas. Musical ideas will also be match to lyrics, or lyrics will be imagined from musical ideas. Students will learn how to express themselves through their words and their instruments, and then further learn how to organize it all into a cohesive finished product.

Students will gain an understanding of the keyboard through notes, scales, chords, melody, harmony, and tonality. Theory and notation will be explored, and students will learn their favorite songs to grow closer to their understanding of music, as well as less familiar but still interesting songs to expand their listening and instrumental horizons. They will learn how to build many kinds of chords and understand how chord progressions are shaped, and be able to take this knowledge along with them in their musical journeys.

Students will learn their way around the guitar's fretboard, left and right hand technique, chords simple and extended, strumming and plucking patterns, how to read tabs and sheet music, scales and keys, expression, and how to play in a variety of modern genres. Eventually the student will learn how to improvise and create their own unique songs. The student will acquire not only an understanding but a connection with their instrument that will ultimately guide them on their independent musical path.
