I approach vocal lessons a bit differently than my piano lessons. I often allow the students to select all their own music and I teach how to perform in a healthy way. Voice lessons are much more fast-paced and energetic. The student may not sing in every lesson but everything we do will be to benefit singing and performing. I also work on getting over stage fright and building general confidence which I hope they can take outside of music.

They should expect an encouraging and comforting environment. I do my very best to be as understanding as I can. I believe in learning all aspects of music and teaching its benefits outside of lessons. With piano lessons, I always start with a classical approach for technique but will change things based on the preference of music style the student desires to learn. It is important to have a mix of styles to keep everyone engaged and challenged. I am big on learning and growing and will always push my students to do their best.
