About Me

Greetings!! My name is Tiffany. I am currently a student at Morgan State University majoring in Applied Liberal Studies with a concentration in Music. I have been studying music since I was 8 years old! I currently playbut am not limited too the Saxophone, Drums, Piano and Clarinet. I am a member of Morgan State University’s Marching Band, The Magnificent Marching Machine. In addition to that, I am also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. I have been teaching music for the past 5 years. My teachings began as the instrumental music instructor for Obama Academy Eagles PEP Marching Band and for the past 3 years I have held the position of Assistant Band Director. In addition to the Obama Academy’s Marching band, I held the position of Assistant Music instructor for the musical production of ‘Sister Act’ where I not only taught music to the Orchestra Pit but played the drums for the production as well. Though I have the ability to teach various genres of music, my favorite is Classical because it requires you to be expressive and showcase your musical abilities through the instrument. One of my main goals for my students is to get them to understand that music is all about being expressive! Pieces don’t come to life without it!! I look forward to helping create future musicians!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to learn all Major scales. Different playing techniques. How to read on a grand staffs. Proper musical terms and how to use them correctly. Chord names and qualities. As well as Performance techniques and etiquette.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to learn all Major scales. Different playing techniques. How to read on Treble and bass clef (depending on instruments). Proper musical terms and how to use them correctly. As well as Performance techniques and etiquette.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to learn all Rudiments. Different playing techniques. How to read percussion music and how to properly strike the drums. Proper musical terms and how to use them correctly. As well as Performance techniques and etiquette.
