Originally from Russia, Nataly has made her way from the Moscow Conservatory all the way to the East Coast of the United States. She is currently an Artist in Residence at the esteemed Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, MD as well as a freelance orchestra musician and educator in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
Influenced by the sounds of Stephane Grappelli and Svend Asmussen, she brings her beautiful classical tone to the world of hot jazz and swing. A sought-after performer, Nataly has played at venues such as the Keystone Korner in Baltimore, MD, Le QuecumBar in London and la scène des luthiers of the Samois Django Reindhardt Festival near Paris.

Performing Experience:
Since graduating from the Peabody Conservatory in 2017 I have been performing with various groups in the DMV area. These include the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Annapolis Symphony and Alexandria Symphony. I also professional perform jazz, and have done show with the Hot Club of Baltimore and other jazz groups in the area. Currently I am an Artist In Residence at the Strathmore Music Center with a focus on performance in jazz violin.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching privately starting in 2011. Since moving to Maryland in 2015, I have taught privately and in various music education facilities in the Potomac, Gaithersburg, Bethesda and Baltimore areas. Currently I teach beginner group violin classes at the Odyssey School in Pikesville, MD. I feel comfortable teaching beginner students as well as more advanced ones. Kids really love the way I teach, because my main goal is to make the lesson engaging and fun. I am qualified to teach classical technique and repertoire, and also have a lot of experience teaching improvisatory styles including celtic, bluegrass and jazz.
