Hey! I'm Gabriel, an instructor, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with many lifetimes of professional experience. I teach, record, produce, and do remote session work in the Chicagoland area. In film school I specialized in scoring ambient soundscapes, recording, and sound editing. I've also been playing piano, bass, and guitar in various projects for 7+ years. My teaching style is deliberately relaxed yet informative, allowing players to go at a whatever pace necessary to maintain interest.
I tailor my lessons to individual student's personal tastes and aptitudes, but my primary goal is to impart the skills required to make instruments fun early on. Students are even encouraged to improvise often and play by ear when possible.
Because of this, most lessons focus in the realm of contemporary music over classical, but fundamentals are still a very integral part of my instruction!

Students can expect to learn the ins and outs of Digital Audio Production, including DAWs, Hardware, Mixing and Mastering Techniques, Recording techniques, Song Composition, and Advanced Sound Design.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Students can expect to learn a variety of contemporary bass lines figure out bbass linesy ear, adapt proper fingering and technique, and outline chord changes along with basic theory.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
Students can expect to learn a variety of contemporary pieces, figure out parts by ear, learn scales, chords and eventually extensions and basic chord theory.
