About Me

In 7th grade I joined band up to my freshman year of High school, it's how I learned to read basic sheet music, it's how I have that understanding of techniques, rudiments, and timing.

I have taught private lessons for 5 years now. I've played all types of events, gigs, I started playing in church when I was 12 and I'm 29 years, that's 18 years of Drumming. Music is my biggest passion, that's all I love to do! I love helping others learn music like I did as a kid. As I got better and better I pick up other styles of music and techniques and skills on how to play drums.

I believe learning other styles helps a musician grow in general, I always try to learn at least the basics of different styles of music and encourage my students to do the same

Noel A. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons .

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

☆Expectations for all Students☆ •Set goals with plans attached to them in order to become a better Drummer(musician). •Learn the skills, techniques, and dynamics, that actually need to be applied, make sense, because that's what the music calls for and not because it sounds cool. •Log what is practiced every single time, to see where the progress is being made and not being made. •Stay with the material that's going to help with the progress of playing the instrument, do not move on until you can see the material that's being learned translated into the playing of the instrument. •Make time weekly or daily to practice the material, if not them the progress of learning the instrument will dramatically decrease.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

- - Advanced

☆Advance Level☆ •By training the student how to use selective hearing to pinpoint specific musical dynamics and situations, the student will not just listen and hear the music, but the goal is so they can really begin to feel the music and it's energy and power. •I will also keep adding advance techniques, skills, dynamics and teaching how and when to apply them on the drums, this will help understand how techniques, skills, and dynamics can have such an impact on the way music feels and sounds. •Other styles of music will not just help the student develop freedom and creativity, it will help them adapt to situations, other musicians, and different styles. (At this stage the student should be able to play in any situation with any musician)

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

- Intermediate

☆Intermediate Level☆ •I continue to work with the student on listening and keep training them on how to use selective hearing to pinpoint specific musical dynamics and situations, still using the metronome, click, and play along songs. •I'll keep getting deeper into breaking down time signature and counting. •I will also keep adding technique and expanding it around the drum set to begin to introduce the student to drum fills and transitions. •Also the student will be introduced to other styles of music, this will help the student develop freedom and creativity on the drums. (At this stage the student should be able to play with other musicians)

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

☆First Class☆ I love finding out at what level the student really is at and just reallly what part of playing Drums motivates them, it's how I determine at what level I'm going to get them started at. So I'll have them play to a song they like or just anything they want, then we'll go from there.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner -

☆Beginner Level☆ •I will teach the student all the different parts of the instrument. •I work on teaching the student how to control the extremities(arms and legs) with specific drum exercises. •I teach the importance of listening to what's going on musically speaking using a metronome, click, and play along songs. •I also slowly introduce the student to time signature and how to count and stay in time. •The student will be taught beginner techniques and skills to play simple on the drum set. (All of these things together will get the student started on playing the drums, maybe even with other musicians)
