Fred has always loved music from an early age. He began playing guitar at the age of 14 and continued his education by practicing each day. His musical influences include rock/blues/country/classical. Fred's favorite thing about music is the connection it has on people and his favorite thing about teaching music is knowing one day that something I taught will be past on and taught to another.
One of his favorite teaching experiences was when he taught his neighbor the basics of guitar and song writing and now he see's them up on stage playing their own songs with their band on YouTube and Facebook. It makes him so proud that something so simple as 3 chords on the guitar turned ones love of listening to music into a passion of playing ones own music. When taking lessons with Fred you can expect guidance, determination, and most of all, HAVE FUN with playing music.

I always like to start with the basics of guitar, then I like to let the student pick a song that they have always wanted to learn how to play, nothing to complicated. I feel if you have students always practicing scales and theory daily that they become board and lose the drive to continue playing. Yes, scales and all that stuff is important and can come later, music is about a way of expression. Start off having fun and the fun will continue with the students wanting to learn more and more.
