Hi. My name is James. I am 38 yrs old, and I have been playing guitar for nearly 26 years. I have been giving guitar lessons since I was 21, and am passionate about it. First, I started teaching family members where I was told I had a natural talent to teach. Then friends of the family and their children. I started building my reputation with the knowledge and impressive speed I had with the guitar and attracted clients through social media as well. I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Business. I can read guitar tablatures, sight-read traditional music sheets, and I have much experience in multiple hand strumming and finger variations. I love playing multiple styles of music on the electric and acoustic guitar. Specifically, I and am heavily influenced by classical, hard rock, reggae, jazz & blues, and Spanish music. I have been in three bands throughout my life, and I am ready to teach others the power of the guitar. I truly believe it's an honor to be able to teach the guitar to all ages. I really enjoy teaching music to others. Patience and dedication are what I believe in and are what makes a person become a great musician.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
- - Advanced
I will show students how to read traditional music sheets with the aid of guitar tabs. I will show them the style of music they desire, whether it be classical, rock, jazz, blues, reggae, country or country music. I will also teach them rhythm and solos, hand and finger techniques. I will give them a brief summary of the previous lesson's concepts at the beginning of the new lesson. My teaching style incorporates patience and repetition. I will leave the student with online or printed practice sheets until the next visit.

I took guitar lessons for 5 months at H&H music at the age of 14. After that, I self-taught myself up to now in 2020, at the age of 38.

I have been teaching the acoustic and the electric guitar since 2001. I have taught family, friends, and strangers during my 17 years of playing the guitar.
