About Me

Andrewis a very talented and hardworking musician from Los Angeles, California where he graduated from Antelope Valley college and obtained his two degrees in Music Education and Foreign Language. After graduating he went on to pursue a bachelor’s in music education at cal state Northridge where he then transferred to CalArts to study orchestral performance for his Master’s. Andrew dedicated his time to teaching Orchestra and Symphonic/Concert Band at Palmdale High School as assistant director for 2 years. While teaching Andrew also spent time performing in large and small music ensembles like Antelope Valley Symphony and Master Chorale, Palmdale playhouse Flute choir, Antelope Valley Symphonic Band, & Chamber ensemble, and Lancaster community orchestra.

Andrew is a true perfect student as well as a teacher. He shows up on time, is always prepared, works extremely hard, is very enthusiastic, passionate and has a fantastic attitude. He plays a variety of classical and world instruments and has a deep understanding of many different cultures and their values. Mr.pushes his students during his lessons and in fact, goes above and beyond to achieve personal goals and plans to exceed expectations for his students and their parents.

I have the extreme pleasure of teaching Mr. Andrewin Applied Flute privately at Antelope Valley College. I started teaching him in fall of 2015 and am currently instructing him. a very talented flute player and I have been elated with his progress. Andrew is a true perfect student. He shows up on time, is always prepared, works extremely hard, is very enthusiastic and has a fantastic attitude. I really push Mr.during our flute lessons together and not once has he disappointed me. In fact, he has exceeded my expectations. I give Andrew difficult assignments each week and he has always come back the following week with everything accomplished. Commercial/studio me 3 (flute) Antelope Valley College Applied Music Program: Solo/Accompanied Flute Performance August 2015-January 2018 Study with Private Instruction for 2 years and perform before a jury and 4 Recitals. Recital Repetoire: Air a L’italien from Suite in A minor-George Phillip Telemann Soir dans les Montagnes-Eugene Bozza Mozart’s Flute and Orchestra Concerto no.1 In G major, K.313/285c:I. Allegro Maestoso-Amadaeus Mozart Syrinx-Claude Debussy Tango Etudes for Flute. I: Decide-Astor Piazzolla Antelope Valley College Symphonic/Concert Band/Symphony Orchestra & Master Chorale — Flute Section Leader, 1st, 2nd, piccolo. August 2011-June 2018 Under the direction of Directors/Conductors Dr. Berkeley Price and Dr. Gary Heaton-Smith, I would perform 2 concerts a semester, distribute music, and run Flute and Woodwind sectional rehearsals.Under the direction of Director/Conductor Dr. David Newby, I would perform 2 concerts a semester and prepare music as woodwind/brass Librarian. Gave musical instruction on assigned instruments and tutored music/sight reading. Chaperoned band field trips, fundraiser booster. Through out my years I have taught music with a privately owned business to students ranging from as young as 3 yrs old to 70. I enjoyed teaching and learning from all of my students, it was a great job with great people.
