Carter began playing drums at the age of 9. Over the years, he developed his skills further by attending music school at Colorado University in Denver. He gained performance experience in the touring area by playing at such venues as The Van Burgen in Phoenix, AZ, the GCU Arena in Phoenix, AZ, and Paradiso in Amsterdam, to name a few and with acts such as Tate McRae and Moby Rich. Though Carter can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are pop, r&b, and jazz/latin which had great influence on his style of playing. Carter loves music because of the beauty of musical expression and loves teaching music because he wouldn’t be where he is without his teachers he’s had in the past. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Carter can help you expand and enhance your playing. Carter is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
