Started playing drums at age 8 and was given my first guitar at the age of 12. Joined my first pro band at the age of 18 and by age 21 was touring the northwest. I’ve opened for such bands as April Wine, B.O.C., Head East, Robin Trower, Nazereth, Quiet Riot, and more. My drumming style can best be categorized in two words…John Bonham. I’m able to instruct in the following genres: Rock LZ, JP, BOC, BTO, STP, VH, The Monkees…etc., Funk, Country, Country Rock, Blues and some Metal. My guitar style is very diverse and I can teach in the above genres as well as Praise and Worship music, Latin and Smooth Jazz.

Teaching stick control and velocity dynamics, as well as how to keep consistent timing. I keep students improving by using recordings of popular songs as well as call and response type rhythmic patterns.
