Hey, my name is Hayley and I’ve been playing drums since I was 8. My mom plays piano and my dad plays guitar but was also on the drum line in high school so it runs through my blood. I self taught myself till I was able to take a music class in middle school where I was introduced to much more than drums; it’s percussion, auxiliary, marimbas, sound effects, bongos, just so much that I learned and most importantly the basics. I was privileged to be asked into the high school band when still in middle school and then moved to drum line when I got into high school. Music is my life; my pure bliss and I want to share it with the world.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Start off with basic technique and rhythm as well as reading music. From there work them up to being able to keep time (counting is very important) and basic beats so they can learn to use their hands and feet at the same time. After that we would just work continuously on different beats, different times, and different types of genres.
Formal Education:
middle school, high school, marching band taught me technique, form, and good rhythm

For drum set I was mostly self taught
