Manuel has always loved music from an early age. He began singing at the age of 15 and continued his education by daily practice. His musical influences include J. Leto. Manuel's favorite thing about music is the way it makes him feel and his favorite thing about teaching music is the light in the student's eyes when they get it. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching a hearing-impaired student who was able to hear piano notes and chords.
