Katy W.
Vocal Lessons
Studio
5 Years
Hi! My name is Katy and I'm a professional singer/actor that recently relocated from NYC to Atlanta, GA. I have performed Off Broadway, on a national tour, and regionally across the United States. I have a B.M in Vocal Performance at Furman University and was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honors society. I also studied voice at the Accademia dell'Arte, a performing arts conservatory in Arezzo, Italy. One of my major musical influences is Broadway's Kelli O'Hara, who I actually performed for in a masterclass at New York City Center. I love teaching the next generation of artists and I believe in the power of vocal storytelling. When taking lessons with me, you can expect positivity and passion, as well as knowledge about what'shappening in the current performing arts world. I look forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your voice. Book a lesson and let's start singing!
Katy W. has over 5 years of music experience in the Dunwoody area.
Katy W. is proficient in and teaches Vocal Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Students can expect a quick check in, followed by 20 minutes of physical and vocal warm-ups potentially longer if the student needs it. We then will work on at least one classical art song and then follow with repertoire that the student is interested in, such as pop or musical theater. I teach classical vocal technique that instills safe, healthy habits for singers. I'm happy to teach additional vocal genre musical theater is my specialty but I believe the best thing young voices can learn is a classical foundation to support their vocal health.
