Greetings! My name is Robert and I am an experienced music educator looking to provide my years of training to eager students of all ages. I am a graduate of Kansas State University, where I earned my BM. I also attended Wichita State University where I received an MM. In addition to these two degrees, I have completed most of the work on a DMA for the University of Arizona and am planning on finishing at Florida State University when the time is right. I am a highly versatile saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist as well. The saxophone is my primary passion and I have played all versions of the saxophone in wind ensembles, jazz bands/combos, orchestras, saxophone quartets, and chamber ensembles. I have built a reputation for myself with my playing and have many projects lined up for the future. I also am adept at playing/teaching flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, and beginner piano≥ I have always been active in music education, even as far back as high school. I may have received my degrees in performance, but I am highly knowledgeable in the MusEd field and instrumental pedagogy. I have taught in a private lesson capacity, in the classroom, and at the university level. Perhaps the most important part of my teaching philosophy is the idea that music should be accessible to all who want to pursue it. Music. should hold an important place in peoples lives, it is an intrinsic part of being human. I strive to make every interaction with a student unique and tailor-made to that individual. The needs of every student are different and need to be addressed as such. I have nothing but rave reviews from my students. I recently asked each of my students what they thought of their lessons. The harshest critique that I received was that the lessons did not last long enough, they want more! I hope that I can bring my talents to your company and help fulfill my purpose in life. I am trying to build my studio in this area in order to make a living doing what I love. The more students I have, the better. My hope is that I can replace the less than stellar job that I currently have with teaching. I was a full time private teacher before I went to graduate school and I would like to be back in that lifestyle once more. Thank you for your time, Robert
