I enjoy teaching students of all ages and musical backgrounds, and the lessons you take with me will be with your interests, front and center. Lessons are tailored for each student and their individual goals and needs, and all of my students improve within the first week of taking lessons with me! I started my life in music at the age of 6, starting with piano lessons. When I was 10, I found the saxophone, my main instrument now, and have done music ever since! I play and teach saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano. I also teach in the jazz realm of music, teaching jazz theory, composition, and improvisation. I have a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner
I can teach piano students the basic techniques to get a great start on their musical endeavors. I teach piano technique through scales, and fingerings, but also using simple songs to keep it fun.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I have been playing saxophone for over 15 years, and clarinets and flutes for over 10 years. I have experience teaching beginner-intermediate students, as well as a wide range of young and old students.
