My name is Andrew and I have been playing guitar since I was 15 years 16 years ago. I am a self-taught musician who learned how to play by listening to my favorite songs over and over again and trying to replicate the sound. I can play acoustic and electric guitar, lap steel, and some bass guitar. I played in several local bands in Alabama where I grew up. My main musical influences are David GilmourPink Floydand Jimmy PageZeppelin. I have taught several students over the years, mainly focusing on learning basic chords, chord progressions, as well as requested songs. I try to take some of the mystery out of playing by breaking things down into segments. I pride myself on my patience and my willingness to take things at a slower pace practicing repetition until the skill is mastered when needed. I am most skilled at Blues/Rock, but can play a variety of genres. If there is a certain song or style your going for, I will do my best to help you learn! Music is a huge part of my life and I would love to help my students learn to play/become better at playing. Along with teaching guitar, I can also help with basic guitar maintenance. I also have a small home recording studio that I use to work on my own projects as well as others.
