My name is Jan. I have been heavily involved in music since the age of 7, when I began taking piano lessons. Thought elementary school, jr high and high school, I participated in many choirs, orchestras and bands (clarinet). After high school, I attended the University of Colorado/Boulder for two years, majoring in Music Performance. In 1991, I took an 18 month break from college to tour with a music ministry group called Celebrant Signers. I sang with a group of 10 vocalists and 15 instrumentalists and traveled to 10+ countries, performing in churches, community halls and other venues. I then spent 1.5 years at the University of Northern Colorado, pursing my Music Education degree. After marrying my Canadian husband in 1994, I finished my Music Ed degree in the San Diego California area. Since then, I have raised three daughters, taught music in several Colorado schools and have been teaching private voice and piano lessons for the last 12 years. I am currently in the process of relocating to the Charleston, SC area and will continue teaching private lessons in the area. I have also performed many times over the years and have a deep passion for sharing my love of music with others!music
