Hi, my name is Lily and I am a first grade teacher on Long Island. I have been teaching voice and piano lessons for six years. I enjoy playing classical piano and I love to sing pop and jazz. My musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald and Taylor Swift. I can teach beginner piano, and classical, jazz, or pop voice. I like to tell my students that practice makes perfect! My favorite thing about teaching is sharing the gift of music while learning something new every day. My favorite performance was at Carnegie Hall with my Chamber Choir! What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
I will teach my students the foundations of music, including how to read music and count rhythms. I will my teach students scales and basic songs. If my students wishes to learn pop, I can teach chords and comping. I will also teach sight reading.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I will teach students the foundations of music, including how to breathe properly and sight sing. I will allow my students to choose songs to work on, and I will also select songs for them to practice. Each lesson will begin with vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises. I can also prepare students for upcoming auditions or performances. I am most comfortable teaching female vocalists.
Formal Education:
I am certified in Childhood and Special Education, Grades 1-6. I attended Marist College, and I am currently attending Stony Brook University
