Trevor-I started playing guitar at age 10, taking classical and jazz guitar lessons. By the end of high school I was playing community events in a youth ensemble, playing in a youth group band, and getting called in to play in the orchestra pit for musical productions done by various schools around my area. In college I played in a rock band, and gigged frequently for two years. After that I got a job teaching out of a store in 2016 and I've had many students over the course of my teaching, including some who were students of mine for multiple years. Trevor's favorite thing about music is the moment it clicks with a student and they get a glimpse of their potential. I try to cater my material very personally to the students tastes and goals, give them lots of room to feel they can ask me anything, and encourage them to enjoy and appreciate music in new ways. In my spare time I am often writing guitar music, recording, and pursuing my own art. I have knowledge of Ableton Live, Pro Tools, and FL Studio.

Students can expect various recommendations for practices/exercises to strengthen different areas, including rhythm, finger picking, scales and patterns, and more. Lessons will be based around and tailored to the style of music that students are interested in, with various goal-setting and weekly challenges. Additionally, I advise students on how to practice to get the most out of lessons, and on how to get the most out of proper technique.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
In teaching songwriting, I like to give the student familiarity with a few types of writing approaches to find what works the best, and from there refine skills using creativity and referencing existing songs. Additionally, I will advise students on how to best suit their songwriting toward the style of music they want to make.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner
Students using Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Garageband, and Audacity will learn the important features of their DAW, learn tricks to transform ideas into music, and get insight into mixing, effects, MIDI, and more.
