Hi, my name is Darian and I am a musician from San Jose, CA. I have been a student of music for 11 years. My musical influences ranges from BB King to Carlos Santana. I enjoy all genres of music, and I find that there is always something to learn. My teaching style can best be described as fun, and team oriented. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe with enough time and effort, anything is possible. In my lessons, you can expect to learn fundamentals and how to apply them to your music. I like to tell my students to never give up. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the progress in my students. My students love that I create my own music. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach songwriting, bass guitar, and basic Keyboard/Piano. My approach as a teacher is to keep a good learning pace and keep the students engaged. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to learn the fundamentals, and how to apply them. Since each student may come from a different musical background, the lesson for each student will differ. However, for the most part, we will review topics such as: The parts of a guitar, solos, accompaniments, chords, & working with a metronome.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to learn different styles of writing, learn the use figurative language in music, learn the techniques of other artists in songwriting, and learn how to express feelings and philosophies through writing.
