Hey! My name's Matthew and I'm a guitarist/bassist/vocalist/engineer from San Diego. I have been playing guitar for about 10 years now, with around 6 years of formal training. I also have a minor in recording technology from SDSU and a years worth of experience working in a professional studio, so I can teach you recording and producing techniques if that's what you're interested in. I mainly play jazz and rock, but I'm well versed with most styles of music, and can confidently teach you what you want to know. I have played in anywhere from high school/college jazz bands to my own rock group, No Car Garage, so I also have a bit of experience performing live. My teaching method is focused on becoming comfortable with your instrument, learning the theory behind what you're playing, but also learning to experiment and grow on your own time.
