David began playing guitar at the age of 13, after years of childhood piano lessons. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing in the school jazz band, and singing in the school chorus. He gained performance experience in the RDU area by playing at local bars and restaurants and with acts such as Jason Adamo Band, and John Briggs. Though David can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are funk and jazzy pop flavors, which had great influence on his style of playing. David loves music because of its universality and loves teaching music because he enjoys equipping students with the tools to bring people together. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, David can help you expand and enhance your playing. David is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
