Bass is my primary instrument and I can teach in all styles for all levels. Let's start thumpin'!

I have taught all styles of guitar from blues and rock to jazz and contemporary. I love the fact that guitar, like piano, can be self-contained as an accompaniment to sing with! I find that it is one of the most rewarding instruments to teach, and allows students to really start expressing themselves quickly!

I come from a family of drummers, yes both of my parents are professional percussionists! I watched my father teach drums my whole life and have a huge database of books and experience to rely on, as it is what I started teaching first! I teach all styles and take varied approaches depending on student goals.

Piano students can expect lessons rooted in performance, technique and theory. The piano is the ultimate teaching tool and as such allows for lessons to engender a broader understanding of music to the student! I actually recommend that any serious music student also pick up some piano, and I guarantee that almost every musician will fall in love with it. I teach piano to ages six and up, up to the intermediate level, and teach all styles except for classical. I feel classical piano students should have a teacher who has dedicated their musical lives to classical study, and this is an undertaking I have not taken thus far. So, I look forward to meeting students who want to play this amazing instrument!

Songwriting is the essence of music. Its why we play and learn... to create music! I am a life long songwriter who has contributed and sold songs to several big name artists over the years such as Honeysuckle, Grey Season and innumerable jazz tunes written for and performed by some of Bostons preeminent jazz musicians like Jason Palmer and Neta Raanan. My understanding of music theory, arranging, and lyric writing all contribute to the formation of these songs. And now, I can pass on what I know to you! I love to see students explore their creativity through songwriting and its my favorite thing to teach! Of course, I teach songwriting in most styles and like to focus on getting each songwriters style to shine through. I can also teach recording techniques in Logic and Ableton.
