I have been teaching the violin for more than 30 years. I have a Masters of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Washington where I studied with Emanual Zetlin, Donald McInnes and Denes Zsigmondy. My post graduate studies include work with Irv Eisenberg, Yuriy Mikhlin and Margaret Pressley. Piano studies with Katherine Strickland. Fiddle studies with Ruthie Dornfeld and Brian Wicklund.
I have developed a highly effective personal approach to learning this wonderful and challenging instrument. I maintain a positive, fun atmosphere with clear, detailed instructions, and at the same time, never lose sight of the classical disciplines my students will need to take their violin skills in whatever direction they choose.
