Bass Guitar Lessons
Home or Webcam
2 Years
Hi, my name is Jared and I am a bass guitarist from New Jersey! I have been a student of music for 15 years! My musical influences include jazz, blues and rock from the 40s all the way up to today, so I enjoy artists like Jaco Pastorious Weather Report, James Jamerson Marvin Gaye and Phil Lesh Grateful Dead. My teaching style can best be described as fun but always getting better. I am a strong believer in the fundamentals and learning good habits from the very beginning. In my lessons, you can expect to learn scales and finger exercises, but also jams, grooves and improvisation tactics. I like to tell my students that bass playing is the back bone of the music as well as the drums. You have to learn the groove before you learn the solo. My favorite thing about teaching is watching students progress and pick up new skills over time. My students love that I try to make even the most boring exercises exciting. I primarily teach beginners and novices looking to build a strong bass playing foundation, but I can also teach more intermediate level players who want to take their bass playing to the next level. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
