Hi, I’m Tyler ! I’m a teacher that loves to perform on stage and teach all genres of creative arts from theatre and musicals to contemporary music and improv. I graduated with my degree in Vocal Performance in the Spring of 2019 and I have had a wonderful time sharing my love of music, theatre, and the arts with the city of Memphis since then! I have taught theatre, piano, drums, guitar, voice, and dance, but I’m always learning new things to expand my and my students horizons! I have been happy to teach the musicals Brigadoon, Zombie Prom, and Seussical: the Musical to young singing actors and I am looking forward to expanding both of those lists!
Tyler B. has over 3 years of music experience in the Memphis area.
Tyler B. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Vocal Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:

Performing Experience:
Tyler has been apart of a number of contemporary music ensembles with a range of genres and influences. In high school, his love of rock music including Green Day and AC/DC drove him to form rock bands in San Antonio, TX. and Lake Charles, LA. The band in Lake Charles put out an EP his sophomore year of college and allowed him to become a pivotal musician in the Lake Charles music scene as a trumpeter and backup singer. He had the pleasure of playing with a reggae ensemble called Inner Gee and a cover band name Pistol Bridge after Lake Charles’ iconic I-10 bridge with crossed pistols lining both sides. Since moving to Memphis, he has been blown away by the incredible talent in the local music scene and he is humbled to be a part of the funk ensemble, Getwell 9. He has a combined amount of 10 years of love performing with brass, piano, and especially voice.
Experience Teaching:
In college, Tyler began to look for opportunities to help spread his love and dedication to music, and he was encouraged by the amount of musician teachers that were willing to lend a hand to help him grow and become a teacher of his own. He has taught at the Governor’s Program for Gifted Children and with the Cristian Youth Theatre in Lake Charles, LA. from 2. Since moving to Memphis, he has taught theatre classes at Playhouse on the Square and he was the Head the Rhythm and Piano Department at Music Box Inc from 2
