About Me
Hey! I'm Jack, I'm 21 years old and have been playing music for about 10 years now. I got my first guitar at 12 years old and haven't stopped playing. I've played all around the St. Louis area and have even toured around the U.S! Currently I'm pursuing a music BA minor at Webster University. I was a student at School of Rock for four years and learned so much about music technical skills and the creation process and some history and what a music scene looks like and how to navigate it. I still use those skills today! I've had many great teachers and I understand the impact that they can have, and I'm excited to be able share music with those that want to learn!

Jack B. has over 1.5 years of music experience in the St. Louis area.

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner -

The same as guitar lessons.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner -

Students can expect a comprehensive lesson about the pieces of the drum kit, how to set it up, the individual idiosyncrasies of the drums, and how to care for them so you get the most life out of your drums. The lessons will begin with a warmup rudiments, sticking exercises, metronome practice. Then the lesson will move to a more focused area of practice. Then the lesson will conclude with a review of what we’ve learned, items to practice, and words of encouragement.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect lessons in popular song forms, common chord changes, music theory that relates to building songs. I believe I’m there to aid in inspiring students creativity, so in these lessons it will be very dependent upon the students desires.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Dependent upon the skills of the student the lessons will vary, but all students will be able to expect patience and dedication from me. I’ll be committed to being flexible to student’s needs and their own individual learning styles. All lessons will include a warm up including anything from string skipping exercises, scales/arpeggios, rhythmic exercises with a metronome, or anything to the fingers warmed up and the student comfortable. Then the lesson will move to a more specified area of practice that the student is working on. That could be a song, a jazz chart, learning a solo, tablature or notation practice, or anything the student is interested in or progressing to. The lesson will conclude with take-home practice material, a review of what we’ve covered, and some words of encouragement.
