Hi, my name is Aaron and I am a Drummer from Atlanta! I have been a student of music for 13 years including Symphonic and Marching band. My musical influences include Rush and OutKast and I also enjoy Heavy Metal and Reggae. My teaching style can best be described as fun and immersive. The teaching philosophy I live by can best be described by saying that "Learn how to learn". In my lessons, you can expect to learn All the Essential Rudiments, Building interesting fills, Developing a solid pocket, and mastering Dynamics. I like to tell my students Time and dedication always beat talent. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students progress and feel proud of themselves because they accomplished something that was giving them trouble before. My favorite performance was a battle of the bands in front of 2,500 people. My students love that I can connect with them through humor and an invested approach. I primarily teach drums and percussion, but I can also teach bass guitar and video editing. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
How to follow a song structure. How to build interesting fills. Developing a solid pocket. Counting time signatures and reading music. Learning and mastering the essential rudiments. Proper stick techniques. Dynamic control and playstyles.
Formal Education:
4 years in Symphonic Band. 4 years in Marching Band. 2 years in Jazz Band. 2 years playing Drum Set for a Basketball Pep Band.

4 Marching band performances receiving straight superior ratings all 4 years. 6 years playing Heavy Metal/Hardcore drums for Evelia. Played shows with Attila, Within the Ruins, Of Machines, and Josh Scogan

As Drumline section leader I was responsible for teaching and ensuring the parts were memorized and played to the standards laid out for me. I've also coached many drummers in studio sessions.
