I have played guitar for 42 years. Began playing rock, my first hero (along with most other guitarists I imagine) was Jimi Hendrix. I also listened to and played the Beatles, Later Steve Howe and Jeff Beck. Steve Howe led me indirectly to Jazz, and I became interested in Django Reinhardt, Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, Joe Diorio, John McLaughlin and many others.
Daniel G. has over 42 years of music experience in the Colorado Springs area.
Daniel G. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
Enrolled in University of North Texas at the age of 19 and attended Guitar master classes taught by Jack Petersen, Improvisation classes taught by Jack Petersen, Rich Matteson and Dan Haerle.
Private Education:
Studied guitar for two years while still a high school student with the late Vincent Bredice in Miami, Florida.
Performing Experience:
Played various gigs in Texas while attending the university of North Texas. Also performed with small jazz ensembles locally while there.
Experience Teaching:
I taught guitar for two years for Lyn-Del Music in Houston, Texas prior to moving to Denton, Texas to attend university. At the time I left I had approximately 25 students.
