Born and raised in the KC Metro, David walked into his first guitar lesson at age 12 and has been playing and writing his own music ever since. After graduating from Blue Valley High School, he followed his passion for music to Chicago where he studied Music Business and Guitar Performance at Columbia College. It was in Chicago's countless venues that he began to hone and apply his playing & performing skills. He also co-founded The Workroom Sessions, an artist-centered recording studio and video production space in Andersonville. In 2016, David discovered his love of teaching music almost by chance when a coworker who was gifted a guitar asked him for lessons. Since then his love of teaching music has only grown.
