What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
My Students can expect to learn lay outs of structures – both in terms of form ABAB, AABA etc. Students can also expect to learn about simple rhyme schemes in verses and choruses. Later I look for the line that’s going to get repeated – the hook, or title of the song. I believe in really connecting the song to you and knowing what was the motivation. what kind of story are you telling? You have to work on them to not use a word just because it rhymes.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
My Students can expect to learn, Singing involving breathing, inflection, tone, muscles, etc. I am there to help you figure out how to maximize what you’re doing with all of these things in order to sound great. What good are techniques if they’re not applied? My goal for you is to take your vocal techniques and incorporate them into how you sing. Then, after time, energy and practice, your singing voice can and WILL grow stronger and more impressive. No matter what, I like to make sure there is always some collaboration. Working together breeds innovative, surprising results. I love that! Typically, I find it easier to work on breathing first, then voice.
