Hi, my name is Hank and I am a church Music Director in central Florida. I've been doing this job for three years, but I've loved music my entire life! I started singing when I was in kindergarten, and did musical theater throughout all of my middle and high school years.After High School, I earned two music degrees from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida: a BS in Church Music, and a BS in Music Business. My training during this period was largely based in classical and musical theater styles, but more important than the style was learning the proper technique. Through this time, my instructors instilled in me the philosophy that whether you sing classical, pop, jazz, theater, or any other style, it all starts with healthy and sustainable technique! In my time teaching any student, I hope to set them up with a solid foundation that will ensure their ability to sing for the rest of their lives and keep their voices clear, healthy, and beautiful. I will also incorporate into our lessons the fundamentals of basic music theory how to read sheet music to allow the students to fully understand their work, rather than just regurgitating what is discussed in our lessons.
