Hi, my name is Luke and I am a concert pianist in Albuquerque. I have been a student of music for seven years, I have attended Belmont University’s Piano Invitational twice, and I’m currently completing UNM’s Piano Performance Program. My musical influences include Frédéric Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Sergei Rachmaninoff. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed; yet, engaging as I push my students to be the best of their abilities. My goal as a teacher is for my students to grow in their love for the piano as I challenge them with classical training and the essential skills to succeed as a performer. In my lessons, my students learn music theory and the skill of playing the instrument while maintain a positive attitude towards the musical art. I primarily teach classical music, but I can also teach and have learned almost every genre of music existent. Also, as I like to tell my students, there is no stress involved with only learning the difficult, nonappealing pieces of music because as a music teacher, I always keep the passion of the instrument higher than the discipline of the art.
