Brent S. has been teaching voice, piano, guitar, bass guitar, trumpet, flute, and clarinet for almost 4 decades. He has enjoyed a career as an operatic baritone since 1983. He has performed as a featured vocal soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra/John F. Kennedy Center, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Virginia Symphony, the Johnstown Symphony, the Westmoreland Symphony, the Nittany Valley Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, Opera Theater of St. Louis, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, and the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. He has also had a parallel career as a rock musician and a rock school owner. He and his students have had the rare opportunity to share the stage with such rock legends as KISS, Kansas, Ace Frehley, Charlie Daniels Band, Ted Nugent, Survivor, Donnie Iris, Puddle of Mud, Buck Cherry, and many other lesser-known acts over the last 25 years. Brent S. currently plays piano, synth, electric guitar, trumpet, and flute in a professional cover band, and has over 600 hours as a "gigging musician" in clubs and music venues.

The voice student will learn the greatest technique for singing from the most famous singers from the Golden Age of Opera. With this technique, they will be able to sing anything that they desire, regardless of the genre and style, be it classical, musical theater, rock, jazz, pop, etc.
