She gained performance experience in the pop area by playing at such venues as weddings and private events and with acts such as local bands. Though AMY can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical and pop, which had a great influence on her style of playing. Amy loves music because she enjoys sharing music with others and loves teaching music because of the connection with music. What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students will learn how music is structured. theory, note reading, chords, scales Ex. Pop songs have a basic structure-verse, chorus, bridge, coda.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students will learn at their own pace. proper breathing, vocal placement and vocal protection Phrasing, correct diction and correct vocal style for the music selected. They will also learn how to read music.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students will learn at their own pace-learning the basics on the keyboard theory, scales, chords, note reading, proper technique They can choose the style that they want to focus on but the emphasis will be on learning good technique classical music

Piano Lessons Amy has been so great in helping my daughter develop a love for piano, and she's only had about 6 weeks of lessons so far! Ms. is very attentive, asking questions, observing, and constantly assessing where students are in order to give them adequate challenge without overwhelming them. She also pays attention to student interests in order to tailor the lessons to keep them engaged. I think the lessons are a great value. My daughter thinks she's great! My daughter has taken piano lessons from Amy for ~2 years. Amy is patient, kind and flexible with lesson scheduling. many talents
We found Amy through a mutual friend and were so grateful to find her! My son started guitar lessons with Amy in 6th grade and took lessons for about 2years. He went on to play jazz guitar at HSPVA. We credit Amy for giving him that first guitar foundation he needed. Amy has a great talent to match the student with musical interests so that playing was fun, never a chore. She fostered collaboration among her students, giving my son his first chance at playing in a "rock band". Very Knowledgable
