Hi, my name is Joseph and I am a keyboardist from Macon, Ga. I have been a student of music for 17 years. My musical influences include Tye Tribbett, Smokie Norful, Kirk Franklin and I also enjoy Pentatonix. My teaching style can best be described as fun and relatable. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe in making music easy to understand. In my lessons, you can expect to learn strong foundational music theory and play-by-ear techniques. I like to tell my students "If you know where you're going, there are countless ways to get there". My favorite thing about teaching is when my students recognize progressions in their everyday music listening. My favorite performances are unscripted church services. My students love that I make difficult seeming pieces easy to understand and replicate. I primarily teach keyboard, but I can also teach Hammond organ.
