I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, collaborating in band and solo projects. To me, music is serious fun!! My process does not focus on teaching sight-reading musical notation. I feel that my abilities are best served to work with Beginners to Intermediate Students who wish to learn Basic Chords, Scales, Chord Progressions, and Rhythmic Strum Patters. I do attempt to introduce the necessary usage of Note Values but, ultimately my passion is to capture & maintain the “initial spark” that motivates my students to develop the rewarding passion that comes with learning to enjoy the work and hopefully reap the therapeutic value of the creative process.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I have found that I am most successful working with students at their own pace versus my trying to work an agenda curriculum. We do have goals but, my motto has always been in regards to teaching “you can’t rush quality.” I also like to engage younger students parents to help in reinforcing / supporting what we are learning in hope to developing a passion based work ethic from students. I will provide resources and do my best to inspire and encourage my students to recognize their creative development every step of the way.
