What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
First I will identify what style of music you want to learn to compose. Reading and writing music is essential for composition and we will go over the basics and advanced techniques of doing that. We will learn recording processes and digital audio workstations.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
I have experience using any and all DAWs. Starting with Reason and Logic and then moving to FL studio, I began getting the hang of using DAWs to bring the music in my mind to life. I eventually would use Protools while attending NIU but Ableton has been the most effective in bringing my compositions and recordings to the finish line. We will go over how to make templates and how to start a track in any style. How to make interesting music no matter what style, how to mix and master the track. We will also go over distribution and marketing tactics to get your music in the hands of an audience.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
We will learn scales and begin learning correct finger crossings with 1 octave and 2 octave scales. We will begin with Clementi and Bach Sonatas or anything else you might want to learn. I have a Korg Minilogue which is fun and very inspiring to play with and helps you have fun learning the keyboard.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
We will go over the basics and foundational skills needed for proper technique. Musical alphabet, open pitches of the strings, and bass anatomy. I have ways to get you playing a full song soon.I will teach you fundamental chord progressions that will help you understand any style of music you want to focus on. There is no limit to what we can work on. I encourage everyone to learn to read music so that I can write things down for you. This also teaches you independence so that you can learn anything you want from any resource. I have all the modes written out for pentatonic minor/major scales, major/natural minor septatonic scales, melodic minor, and harmonic minor. I encourage everyone to work towards using a metronome. It is a rhythmic indicator so that you can develop rhythm and improve yourself. We can get really advanced depending on how fast you can move through my program.
